The Brand

If you have noticed a fresh look across our website and signage, you may be wondering what inspired the new logo.

In early 2024, a new logo was designed to complement the beauty and history of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and to better position the Gardens locally, nationally and internationally.

The logo, brand and colour palette are inspired by plants that are unique to Tasmania.

The new logo is an abstract form that derives from the visual study of the forms found in Tasmanian conifers. Cones, fruit and the scale shape of the stems can all be seen. The negative spaces between these shapes symbolise the many paths and walls throughout the Botanical Gardens, evoking the feeling of being safely surrounded and embraced by nature.
