Planned Power Outage Tuesday 10 - Thursday 12 February

Due to sitewide upgrades, some areas and features of the Botanical Gardens will be impacted by power outages. The Visitor Centre, Botanical Shop and Hub are closed during this period.

Lily Pond

The Lily Pond was established in 1848 as a reservoir to provide a constant supply of fresh water to the Gardens. The pond itself is a shallow, triangular body of water approximately 1200 square metres in area. Paths take visitors to all points around the pond and the surrounding beds have been planted with a diverse range of perennials, shrubs and trees. In 2018, a multi-level timber deck was constructed to mark the bicentenary anniversary of the Gardens.
